1. About Solar Planet Uganda

Solar Planet Uganda ("Solar Planet", "we", "us", or "our") is a registered Ugandan company specialising in the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of solar energy systems, battery backup solutions, and water pumping and heating systems. Our registered address is Electrical Plaza / Tourist Hotel Building, Plot 9 Dastur Street Nakasero, P.O. Box 190597, Kampala, Uganda.

2. Scope of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the solarplanetug.com website, the placing of orders for products and solar equipment, and the engagement of our design, installation, and maintenance services. By placing an order or using our services you agree to be bound by these Terms.

3. Products & Services

We supply a comprehensive range of solar energy products including but not limited to:

• Tier-1 solar panels (monocrystalline & polycrystalline)
• Hybrid and off-grid inverters
• Lithium-ion and lead-acid battery storage systems
• Solar water pumping systems
• Solar water heating systems
• Mounting structures, cables, and accessories

Our services include free site assessments, custom system engineering, professional installation by certified technicians, commissioning, and after-sales maintenance and support.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed on the website are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) or US Dollars (USD)and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, though any order already confirmed will be honoured at the quoted price.

Payments are processed securely via Pesapal, supporting mobile money (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money), Visa, and Mastercard. Full payment is required before delivery unless a custom payment plan has been agreed in writing.

5. Quotations & Custom Systems

Quotations issued through our website or via email are valid for 14 calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. A quotation does not constitute a binding contract until accepted by both parties. Custom-designed systems are engineered specifically for the customer's load profile and site conditions.

6. Orders & Confirmation

When you place an order through our website, you will receive an order confirmation email. This confirmation does not guarantee availability; in the rare event that a product is unavailable, we will contact you to arrange an alternative or a full refund.

7. Warranties

• Solar Panels: Manufacturer's performance warranty of up to 25 years, plus product warranty as specified by the panel manufacturer.
• Inverters: 5–10 year manufacturer's warranty depending on brand and model.
• Batteries: 2–10 year warranty depending on technology (lithium or lead-acid).
• Installation Workmanship: Solar Planet provides a 2-year workmanship warranty on all installations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solar Planet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product or service in question.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and system designs — is the property of Solar Planet Uganda and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

10. Force Majeure

Solar Planet shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from acts of God, war, government orders, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Kampala, Uganda.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
